"To build from timber"
Timbra is one of Denmark's largest carpentry companies and owned by MT Højgaard. The company approached ud to provide the brand foundation, name and identity. We created the foundation for the company's brand strategy, outlined the value proposition and created the name: Timbra. Timbra is Old Norse for 'carpenter' or 'to build from timber', offering connotations of heritage and solidity. We implemented the new identity across media - clothes, cars, stationery, website and, of course, the carpenter's pencil too.
